Event ID 7036 Problems

My small business uses a Desktop PC to share application files with two other workstations.  We've been having issues with the two workstations locking up.  We discovered that simply moving the mouse on the Desktop PC will unlock both of the workstations and restore normal operation for some period of time.  We befan logging the time when the mouse had to be moved and attempted to correlate that to the system event log.  There were almost always four 7036 events in front of and following the moving of the mouse.  They are:

Defrag Service Started and Stopped

Application Experience Service Started and Stopped

Multiamedia Class Scheduler Service Started and Stopped

WINHTTP Web Proxy Auto Discovery Service Started and Stopped

Defrag is only scheduled to run once a month, so I have no idea why it is trying to run randomly.  I've no idea what to try and would appreciate any assistance
